Independent Traders
Our Traders at this year’s market represent a delightful and diverse selection of independent makers, craft specialists and local food & drink producers, all nestled within the festive wooden chalets that wrap around the centre of historic Chester. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming: each trader brings their own unique story, craftsmanship and personality. From handmade jewellery and accessories to bespoke ceramics, locally-produced candles, and distinctive stocking fillers, the emphasis is very much on originality and thoughtful gifting.
On the food and drink side, Our Traders deliver plenty of festive indulgence too: you’ll find local cheeses, artisan fudge, Pies and Sausage rolls, and a tempting selection of street-food style dishes alongside mulled wine, hot chocolate, and more seasonal tipples.
The buzz is enhanced by the setting, the sparkling tree, the historic architecture of Chester’s Town Hall and Northgate Street, and the crowd mingling with cups in hand, soaking up the festive lights and chatter.

Food & Drink Stalls
Once you’ve shopped till you drop, treat yourself to something delicious from one of our fabulous food stalls, then mosey over to our comfy Christmas Market Bar to wash it down. Here, you can put your feet up and, on select evenings, enjoy some festive live music—song requests are encouraged.
